FlyteTyme Opening Screen

FlyteTyme's Opening screen is not just a pretty face.  The dates of your last medical, Biennial Flight Review (BFR) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) renewal are displayed.  The expiration dates are also displayed and color coded.  The number of approaches you have flown in the past six months are listed here as well.

Context Sensitive Help System

Help is only an F1 keystroke away!  Help subjects can be searched by keyword, or browsed using a table of contents or an index.  Alt-F1 invokes FlyteTyme's context sensitive help system.  This feature looks up the help subject for you automatically based on what you are looking at on the screen!

Navigation Toolbar

The Navigation Toolbar is visible whenever the Flight Entry or Aircraft Entry windows are being used. This toolbar utilizes standardized icons and should be familiar to most PC users.  The toolbar can be moved around the screen or docked on any side of the screen for your convenience!

Flight Entry Window

The Flight Entry window is the main data entry window for FlyteTyme.  Here, you will enter all relevant data for a particular flight.  Much of the information entered on this screen can be automatically filled in by using the Options Window.

Aircraft Entry Window

The Aircraft Entry window allows you to create and modify the aircraft you have flown.  Aircraft can be created by calling up this window directly, or it will appear automatically if you enter a new aircraft on the Flight Entry window.

Custom Report Generator

The Custom Report Generator allows you to print or preview any of FlyteTyme's reports.  You can specify a range of pages to print, or filter the report to include only recent experience.

Options Window

The Options window allows you to customize FlyteTyme to suit your needs.  The main window is broken down into four tabbed areas.

• The Pilot tab allows you to enter your name as it will appear on all reports.  Your birth date is used to calculate the medical expiration date for third class medicals.  The rest of this tab provides entry of medical date and class, last CFI renewal date, and last BFR date.  These dates are displayed on the Opening screen.
• The Auto Fill tab controls what values will be automatically entered for you on the Flight Entry window.  You can select a default aircraft, duty position, departure and arrival airfields, FAR part flown under, and taxi time.  The taxi time is selectable to be entered on military or civilian flights, or both.
• The Setup tab controls global options for FlyteTyme.  You can decide whether or not to display approach currency and CFI renewal on the Opening Screen.  You can include taxi time on your reports, or not.  You can include a multiplier factor on your reports.  And finally, you can control how many digits are required to enter times on the Flight Entry Screen.
• The Caption tab allows you to customize FlyteTyme by renaming each data field.  You can even set different names on reports and on the screen--for the same data field!

Import Data Wizard

The Import Data wizard provides a means to import your logbook from another electronic format.  If your logbook is already in a spreadsheet, word processor, database, or other logbook program, it can be brought over to FlyteTyme without reentering!  You can even modify, conditionally select, and reorder your data in the middle of the import process.

Export Data Wizard

The Export Data wizard provides a means to export your logbook to other programs.  You can send your data to spreadsheets to create charts and graphs, or load your logbook into other database systems.
